Ile Flottante
The Île Flottante project was born from an idea by Manuela Bucci, who completely flipped the concept of what a chair is supposed to be.
Usually, we’re used to seeing a chair with a soft seat and a rigid structure — but in this case, it’s the other way around. The structure is padded, while the seat is a bent PVC sheet with printed graphics that can be basically anything.
She asked me to imagine a few visual variations of it, and alongside mine there are also some by Spanish street artist Antonyo Marest.
